Πρόκειται για το μεγαλύτερο αριθμό υποψηφιοτήτων από την έναρξη των βραβείων BAFTA game το 2004 μέχρι και σήμερα. Σε αυτό βοηθά και η δημιουργία νέων κατηγοριών, οι οποίες είναι οι Animation, Technical Achievement, Best Performer in a Leading Role και Best Performer in a Supporting Role. Με 7 υποψηφιότητες ακολουθεί το Disco Elysium. Οι νικητές θα ανακοινωθούν στις 2 Απριλίου.
Να σημειωθεί πως το νικητή της κατηγορίας Mobile Games of the Year θα αναδείξει το κοινό, το οποίο ψηφίζει από εδώ μεταξύ των Assemble with Care, Call of Duty: Mobile, Dead Man’s Phone, Pokémon Go, Tangle Tower και What the Gold?.
